Laszlo Hanyecz, a developer who worked on bitcoin as early as 2010, has discussed his interaction with the pseudonymous creator of bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto. Mr. Hanyecz describes his dealings with Satoshi as having been “kind of weird.”

Actually I am not interested in this man. Different men have different perception regarding on issue. So there may be some confusing things in their conversation but that is not important to me. I'm pretty sure that he is one pillars of how we are doing right now. Just remember he bought pizza back then for 10,000 BTC and that will be etched in our history because we even have a pizza day. You can checked out the transaction if you are a non-believer.

And he did at certain point in time exhange email with the man Himself. How can you can interested on what he is going to say. Satoshi even said to him that he better not go on mining and just fix the bug issues. And if bitcoin has passed for almost a decade, I'm sure that we will not reach this far if not for the man who ordered pizza for 10,000 BTC and put bitcoin in the next level.

I think, it is hard to judge a man just based on email correspondence. Almost impossible. The overall feeling one gets based on email exchange is always one order of magnitude down on the emotional scale.

What I find weird though is the following part:

Nakamoto didn’t seem too thrilled about Hanyecz’s burgeoning mining pursuits either, Hanyecz said.

“He said, “Well, I’d rather not have you do the mining too much,'” Hanyecz said. “He was trying to grow the community and get more commerce use cases. He fully recognised that mining would become a thing where a few people would get wealthy.”

Why would Nakamoto keep Hanyecz from mining, knowing that mining helps strengthen the network? And it doesn't require active involvement so he could have mined and worked on software problems at the same time.

As Jating said, he is quite famous for his two Domino's pizzas purchase for 10,000 BTC.

Thank you for the interesting article. Hanyecz is the one who made the first ever documented purchase of goods with bitcoin. Well, I found the topic very interesting.

Great that a bitcoin legend is a public figure, someone who has interacted with satoshi himself. His rank is is only full member, i would have thought he would be made a special label.
