Isn't BTC-E a Russian exchange?  If so isn't it in danger of being locked up by the government?

(I have some fiat and coins on there and I'm trying to figure out if I need to yank them)

There was a thread on the topic. The 2 owners reside in Russia but are not Russian citizens, the servers are hosted in Bulgaria, and the company is incorporated in Cyprus.

Do you have a headache yet? :-P

Basically, Russia could not single-handedly shut them down. Bulgaria could, and Cyprus could, but not Russia, at least not without some political strings being pulled.

EDIT any chance I can order some railroad ties? ;-)

Could you share the link to that thread?
Thanks.
