Ok im new to mining, Im using GUIminer. So i started it last night and ran my CPU and GPU. The cpu came up with the correct name of my processor, however the GPU didnt say Radeon and the model it says "CEDAR 0-0" ?? and it was running at 11 Mhash/s but never aquired a single share while my CPU at 3 Mhash/s gathered 21. So I woke up and restarted my computer, when i attempted to start mining on the same pool, It no longer shows my 21 shares... are they lost? I saved settings before shutting down, any help would be appreciated. thanks

Those shares were of the block you were helping to mine at the time.
When they move on to a new block your cut of the block is worked out by comparing your shares to everyone elses.
If your pool doesn't find that block than you may have 21 shares of nothing. This is probably what happened.
I think cgminer and BFGminer are much more popular. Though they don't have visual interface they don't take long to learn.

Just for my information, what setup are you using ? What's your GPU ? I'd like to put it in calculation to see how much it pays out, or maybe you did calculation allready?

"CEDAR" is the codename of your GPU model, you may refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_graphics_processing_units

What are you trying to mine? If you are trying to mine bitcoin then I would advise you to stop as you will earn next to nothing and will have an electric bill to pay
