I had luck with couple of previous giveaways by smaller coins, some of them jumped in price and I exchanged some of them for other, bigger coins. All in all, I earned good money with it. Any giveaway going on currently?

Free distribution of coins in the form of airdrops is not good for the project. They get a big community on Twitter, telegrams, facebook and other social networks, but this is a dead community, people want to get a few free tokens to be immediately sold on the stock exchange, they do not care about the project and what it wants to do. Just like what they said. But some times others ate not. So my suggestion you must search for that matter before you trust.
