Its when a trader(s) buys a lot of one coin to raise the price. Once the trader(s) hits his(their) target price he(they) sell everything. After that happens the price tend to fall back down to its normal price range. Many people profit from this but a lot of traders lose money buying at the peak of the pump and dump.
