Reliable board escrower or reliable Bitcoin escrow service?

I would really like to be educated on this as just about every 2nd post mentioned escrow without clear idea how it's implemented!

as much as i know ,

Escrow act as a middleman between buyer and seller


BUYER ---> sends funds --->> ESCROW <<---- sends funds <----SELLER


BUYER  <<----- Exchange --- ESCROW --- Exchange ----->> SELLER


Escrow will charge a small fees for this.
