Hi guys, I am new in mining, from 1 day, and I have 2x MSI R9 290 with cgmining parameters:
lookup-gap 2 --auto-fan --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1500  -w 512 -v 1 -I 20 -g 1      and I can't get hash rate over 800/810Kh/s on each card. Is there anything that I missed in cgmining config or this is the max of these GPU's?

So I think I fucked up because there are much cheaper video cards, that get the same hash rate is it?

Well, bunch of people say, 7950 are best price:Kh/s ratio.
In your case, you are not far away from truth.

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer --scrypt  -o xx -u user.worker -p xx -I 20 -g 1 -w 512 --thread-concurrency 32765 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-powertune 11 --auto-fan --gpu-engine 990 --gpu-memclock 1500

Try this as .bat file
has been reported to give 870kh/s

I do this config:
-lookup-gap 2 --auto-fan --gpu-engine 1025 --gpu-memclock 1500  -w 512 -v 1 -I 20 -g 1 --thread-concurrency 24550 --auto-fan --temp-target 80 --gpu-powertune 20

And I got stable 915KH/s 80C and 3800-4200RPM (68%) Fan speed.

I have been mining with these cards for about 2 months and I can tell you that a number of these configs shown above are not optimal.

#1. the -w 512 setting.  That just proved to give a higher stale rate.  Lower it to the default 256
#2. the -gpumemclock at 1500 is too high for this card.  Keep it at 1250.
#3. the -gpupowertune works ok at 20, but it can be pushed to 50 with MSI AB. I saw my card push over 900KH/s when I did the powertune to 50 in AB and not in the cgminer command.
#4. depending on whether or not you're using the gaming version, your optimal -gpuengine is either 947, 1000, or 1007.

These settings kept the temperature manageable in a cool room. Be advised, these cards run VERY HOT with peak settings.

So if you were to define everything after your pool settings, it would look like this:

-lookup-gap 2 --auto-fan --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1250  -w 256 -v 1 -I 20 -g 1 --thread-concurrency 32765 --temp-target 80 --gpu-powertune 20

Again, if you leave powertune out of the commandline, push it up to 50 with MSI Afterburner.

I used a few different thread-concurrency settngs, and some were great but would give 1 or 2 hw errors every 24 hours
