Issue with transaction - Mac client 0.4.0

I sent a transaction of about 10 BTC to MTGox during the huge sell-off yesterday, but I did not wait for any confirmations (as I was in a hurry) and closed my client. I figured it would take a little while to clear and would do so whether or not my client was open.

Now, I've opened my client and the blockchain is downloading, but my transaction of (10)BTC to MTGox still has no confirmations while my other transactions' confirmations just continue to grow.

Have I lost those BTC? Will my client realize the transaction is invalid and reclaim the coins? What to do!?

It seems I may have posted prematurely.

I think my client simply sent the transaction when I opened Bitcoin the second time, as now my transaction is reporting confirmations and the client is current with the blockchain. That would explain why MtGox didn't show a balance yet either.
