Best Fiat-Pegged Cryptocurrency so far?

Which stable cryptocurrency pegged to the USD is the best? There are many in existence such as Tether, BitUSD, Dai, TrueUSD, and NuBits, but I'm looking for the most reliable one to invest into to protect myself from sharp devaluations in the cryptocurrency market.

What's your take? Will it be centralized fiat-pegged coins like Tether or decentralized ones like Dai, BitUSD, and Nubits? I would like to know your thoughts/recommendations about this.
