First 17 crypto currencies have recorded losses in the last 24 hours.

Bitcoins price on Mtgox lowest at 91.50$  Now in 120s

(I WISH I HAD SOME DOLLARS AT MTGOX !!!)

Is this because of MtGox? latest update: https://www.mtgox.com/img/pdf/20140220-Announcement.pdf
Is it safe to buy into most of the altcoins?

Because Bitcoin is collapsing. All cryptos relies on Bitcoins that's why all cryptos are falling. If only those cryptos have their own fiat exchanges this might not going to happen imo.

Usually this happens when the bitcoin price falls.
As soon as the bitcoin is back up, you will see a reversal in trend.
wait for a week and normal business will be resumed.

I am sure, all cryptos cannot compete with bitcoin. Wait for a couple of days, you will see they increase again.

Once the price of bitcoin rises all other cryptocoin price will rise. Don't worry.

Altcoins having the best day for the entire week

megacoin raised 30%

and worldcoin, vertcoin appears to start rallying up too.

coinbase bitcoin price still at 625 still...


though I do agree, the gap between bitcoin and altcoins will narrow.
