Hello,

http://www.theverge.com/2014/2/9/5395050/russia-bans-bitcoin
"The official currency of the Russian Federation is the ruble. Introduction of other monetary units and money substitutes is prohibited,"

Since Russia banned bitcoins, I am wondering if issuing alternative money in the EU is against the law too.

This document is from the European Central Bank, I hope it shreds some light on you question.

So, issuing alternative money in the EU is not against the law too, is it?
