Can the Samsung Galaxy 9 Rival the iPhone X?

I’m currently deciding between these 2 phones. I like the features of both phones but above that, I’d like to put weight on security, of course (because what's all this for if my identity or my phone gets stolen, right?). According to a review by CNET, Samsung Galaxy 9’s iris-scanning feature “predates Apple’s most ambitious phone.” Particularly, it offers a do-over. So if the scan fails the first time, a semi-circular arrow will trigger the scan again. With the iPhone X, the author says you have to unlock the screen or wait a long pause before resetting.
So I guess more points for Samsung then? Iris scans are reported to be more accurate plus, it seems to be the future of security. Thoughts, please?

It's all the same expensive crap. When I buy a phone I look at OS. The specs are always on par with this top manufacturers. With android you can easily buy a 10% worse phone, by specs, for half a price of top models. It's insane. Apple/Samsung are just crazy expensive compared to their manufacturing costs but hey whatever rocks your boat.

If you are looking for a sophisticated feature, it is sure samsung  s9. But if you are looking for a phone that has a secure OS, your choice should be the iPhone X.

It's hard to compare two different systems. I love iOS and it's simplicity but I know as well that adroid is more advanced and has more features. Both phone are great and worth recommending.

In my opinion, samsung is quite capable of competing with apple and even sony, because they offer decent phones!
