Is there any exchange other than BTCMarkets in Australia? It takes two weeks for the verification process.

Have to say the exchange in Aus sucks..

That's right, so it is important for me to get another way to join in the cryptocurrency exchange.

That's right, so it is important for me to get another way to join in the cryptocurrency exchange.

I'm not sure about exchanges based in Australia -- Coinjar is the only one I've heard of and I don't know anything about it. But I have an Aussie friend and he does all his Bitcoin trading on Bitstamp. He wires AUD to Bitstamp and they convert it to USD to trade. They're one of the most reputable exchanges on the market, so if it comes down to them and BTCMarkets, I'm choosing Bitstamp every time.

For whatever reason, Aussies aren't allowed to trade on GDAX, which is probably the safest place on the market to dump USD while waiting out price corrections in BTCUSD. However, Aussies can buy on Coinbase. They cannot sell nor can they use the exchange interface (GDAX).

I've heard that some Aussie traders buy BTC on Coinbase, sell it on Coinjar and wire AUD back to their bank account.

If you can manage to get some BTC from BTCMarkets, Coinjar, Bitstamp, Coinbase, etc, then you should come on over to BitMEX. Australians are welcome. High leverage bitcoin trading. Altcoins too. Tongue

You can now buy bitcoin from newsagents in Australia:

https://finance.nine.com.au/2018/03/01/16/28/more-than-1200-newsagents-to-offer-ethereum-buying-service

Quote
From today Australians will be able to purchase Bitcoin and Ethereum in-store from more than 1,200 newsagents around the country.

With a minimum purchase of $50, all customers need to purchase the digital currency is cash, a phone number and an email address.

The service is being provided by cryptocurrency exchange bitcoin.com.au, which has been rolling out in-store Bitcoin buying infrastructure since the middle of 2016.

To purchase the cryptocurrency, buyers would first need to download a digital wallet, which can be on your phone, a slightly more secure wallet on your desktop, or the most secure "cold-storage" wallet set up at home.

I have been using BTC Markets for several months now.  About a week and a half ago after I had bought some Bitcoin, they stopped withdrawals.  It took several days to get my BTC out.  I figured that was a once off and I kept using them.  Now today the same thing happened again.  This time my withdrawal was accepted and it just disappeared.  Nothing has been sent and there is no record of the withdrawal.  The only thing is that the funds are still showing as a balance in the account.  Support has not answered either of my 2 emails regarding this.

I have heard there is a new exchange opening in Australia this month, Nauticus.io
They are supposed to have over 100 coins and 7 fiat currencies available to trade.  Unfortunately for me, they don’t appear to be open yet.
