I bought some for £6.99, a small bottle, because my family all have colds and I don't want to catch it.
I felt a cold coming this morning so I sprayed it up my nose.

Now I'm cured - I fucking LOVE this stuff.

LOL! You mean that spray stuff you put up your nose? Yeah it works well depending on what you've got, I tend to prefer lemsip capsules because it fixes everything and takes care of any headaches you might have, by the way, as a hayfever sufferer I love Piriteze.

Buy some now and survive the summer!

More like it's excellent as masking the symptoms. There isn't a cure.

No no.
When you first feel the cold coming, you spray this up your nose.
It kills and flushes out the bacteria/virus before it has a chance to spread and get worse.

It's called 'Vicks first defence' and was in the daily mail.

Viruses aren't technically alive, so I find the claim that a nasal spray can kill them highly dubious. Peer-reviewed scientific studies or it didn't happen.

If you're already feeling a viral infection it has already entered your body's cells, not just your bloodstream or mucosal surfaces.  Unless you're rinsing your nose out with sulfuric acid you're not flushing out anything  Cheesy

Did it make you feel better, yes.  Did it stop a common cold, most likely not.

Vicks is not a  cure, it only help lessen the symptoms of the cold. Vicks cannot kill a virus.

I find that while this type of remedy tends to mask the symptoms, that I seem to actually take longer to recover from a cold when I use them. But maybe this is just a perceptual thing.

Yes may work mean time but after a few uses you will have to switch to another brand.

Yeah exactly. Although I do wonder why the cold isn't spreading nevertheless afterwards then? I guess in most cases it's just chance or luck and the body (not weakened by the cold) was able to fight off the cold effectively.

Vicks can not kill the virus but can only lessen the effects on you so look for a more permanent solution.
