The Peercoin sub-project started by Jordan Lee "Peershare," has been injected with around $500k of funding and is now looking to hire C++ developers and QA experts. If you're interested in joining the Peershare project, please visit the link below for details.

Peershare is a way for businesses to manage publicly held shares in a decentralized fashion. It uses the Peercoin network to automate the distribution of associated dividends in the form of Peercoins.

Terms of compensation are negotiable and will be dependent upon the reputation that an individual has. We are open to either hourly rates (for people/personas/pseudonyms with developed reputations) or a bounty approach where payment is given for delivering software that meets certain specifications. Later other types of positions/roles will be opened. There will never be an office for this venture, so people in any part of the world can participate. Compensation will be paid through the Bitcoin network, while rates and bounties will be set in USD.

QA will begin with the task of testing Phase One development, which is complete. Developers will start with implementing Phases Two and Three. There are descriptions of these posted earlier in this thread, but updated and expanded specifications for these phases will be posted shortly to this thread. Something to note: In the future, Peershare will be expanded to distribute dividends in others cryptocurrencies, not just Peercoins. Check out Jordan's quote on it...

Peershare as designed will only distribute dividends in Peercoins. However, it can be easily modified to distribute dividends in other cryptocurrencies, and I expect this will occur.

PeerCoin hit its low just then, (look at zoomed out graph). It was going up anyway, to at least 0.01, soon.

This news is the icing on the cake. You realise how great PeerCoin is when you download the block chain and its so quick!

This announcement is now being rightly reflected in the Peercoin value. The Peershare project allows 100% distributed funded companies without any bank or 3rd party fees and an excellent, accessible but secure shares register. And shareholders end up with dividends paid out in backbone currency Peercoin (www.peercoin.net). A true win-win.

and that is $500,000 funding in the form of 200 BTC and 60,000 PPC so not just giving away a genuine currency alternative to BTC but BTC as well.
