Hello! I’m the Community Manager of Gameunculus, and we made a small research about prices in the top blockchain games. Here are the results:

Disclaimer: Gas prices have not been included.

CryptoKitties

From the outset, you need to keep in mind that you will need two Kitties to breed them and properly play CryptoKitties. Breeding also costs money, but you will be able to have everything with as little as $1.41 or 0.0132 ETH.

Etheremon

An important detail is that you will get three Mons for free when you join. Mon prices change daily, but you will need to pay for other things. Every training session costs 0.001 ETH ($0.11) and to explore the objects on your adventure you’ll have to pay 0.01 ETH ($1.06).

My Crypto Heroes

You can grab Jack the Ripper on OpenSea for only 0.021 ETH ($2.24), and prices go up to 47.44 ETH ($5,050) for rarer heroes. No additional payments are required.

Blockchain Cuties

You can buy Cuties for as little as 0.0011 ETH ($0.12), but there are additional payments for outfits ($6.68), elixirs and potions ($0.01+).

Axie Infinity

You will need a team of three Axies to start fighting, with 0.0287 ETH ($3.05) for each one. You can breed them too, but you need an additional 0.002 ETH ($0.21) to do that.

Thanks for the information. Do you have nay any idea as to how much I will be able to make by playing crypto games. And also I would like to ask whether there are any risks involved, just like losing money maybe when you play wrongly? I have always thought of playing crypto games, but the way I have been seeing it, seems like it won’t be worth it, especially if it would require me being on screen at all times to be able to earn. Thanks.

I can't tell for sure how much you will earn. It depends on you - how you play and what items you use. The risk is involved - it's same as ICO. You can invest your money in a game and lose. You won't lose your money if you will be playing wrongly - you just won't earn more.

will be glad to answer your questions!

All of them consist of things you can get for really cheap but worthless. For example I wanted to check out cryptokitties for a while to see if there was any chance of making a lot of money from it with sheer luck (breeding gone right) but honestly even the potentially good investments are already taken and expensive to begin with.

All those cheap kitties you can buy are really worthless and doesn't really worth buying to begin with which makes it harder to sell as well, so you are stuck with some kitties that doesn't worth anything, putting the gas fee on top of that would make you lose money instead of making any. Hence, if you are going to get into these type of games you need a bit of money and a lot of patience and study and research them very carefully to actually make that type of money.

It is either a win or loose game when you invest in coins that are just launched. You have to take a risk which normally people avoid so I think one should not go for such coins and should rather go for the good assets.

I've always thought that the cost to get started in any of these games would be astronomically high, is it possible to make money from such a small starting investment? If yes, is it skill based or purely RNG?
