How do you interact between the use of the javascript language and smart contract (ERC20) in order to deposit and send transactions? (I'm studying this)

Because I want to learn about making wallet Ethereum and ERC20 tokens. In this case I want to try with the ERC20 token, if there is information or examples please share the information because it is very useful for me. Thank You
