Our CEO's Story
Picture yourself.... You are at your high school football game. When the game ends your friend calls you to meet up with him so you can go to the county fair.
You have had a great day-and-night!
On your way home your friend loses control of his car and you slam head on into to a tree. You wake up 2 weeks later in the hospital not able to walk then you look over to your right and see that you are missing your right arm.
You close your eyes again because you think this has to be a dream. As you open your eyes you realize this is not a dream this is real. Your doctor comes in and tells you that you will never be able to walk Again. And that you're right arm was amputated, But he Says there is one good thing that comes out of this you will be able to be fitted for a prosthetic.
You are thinking in your head how is that a good thing I'm paralyzed for the rest of my life and My arm was amputated.
So you go through physical and occupational therapy to get fitted for a Mild electric Prosthetic. Having learning how to use your Prosthetic for your everyday use You get adapted to it and think to yourself if it wasn't for my prosthetic I would not be Independent.
Years go by and it is time for you to get fitted for a new prosthetic. Your doctor comes in and tells you well your insurance does not want to cover your Prosthetic. The only thing they will pay for is a Body powered Prosthetic which in your condition you can not use Panic sets in and the only thing you can think about is not being able to be independent anymore.
