even if only 2 people mine it and trade privately it will continue forever. however the new coin production ends in the year 2140 and the miners then continue mining and getting paid in fee's by anyone that transacts with it.

right now there are ~5million specialised machines mining it which cost money to do that activity. the costs of such are around the $6k figure per coin reward for such activity. which is the underlying base VALUE of it. the bitcoin PRICE is the more fluid thing you see above VALUE which is what people speculate they want to profit over.

from 2009 and up until the year 2140 the coin reward halves every 4 years. and the difficulty to mine it adjusts every two weeks, which is where underlying the volatile price you can calculate a slow increasing underlying base value.

as long as people continue to see bitcoin as useful and valuable people will continue mining it and using it. and the value will continue moving. but if people see it as not useful and stop mining it the the underlying value can go down.

its not a worry of how long it will last. its about how useful it is and valuable. (i dont just mean the top price i mean the underlying value that supports the top price)

if you mean the price destroyed by a BEAR(bears knock prices down. pulls push prices up)

then as long as the mining and cost of acquisition stays at the underlying value of ~$6k+ then no one is going to foolishly bar run below $6k

the value and price has been well tested over the last 10 months that no one has taken the oppertunity to push below $5800 and more recently no one below $6k. so as mining costs and the exchanging funds between people continue supporting the acquisition costs of $6k plus. then most of the investors treat $6k as the bottom line value at the moment

and as i said in previous post. as long as botcoin remains useful and popular, this bottomline wil continue to rise. and the speculative price above it will rise too

(imagine bottomline value as water level and the price as waves above water level. just time it right to ride the waves)

Bitcoin will be destroyed with a bull? I guess you are talking about the bull. Don't look at the present time of bitcoin but if you insist to talk about it, don't forget to look at the past prices of it on how it moved up to the peak. It has been down in the past as well but year after year there's a good increase to its price. We can't identify when this bear would last but determine your plan on how long you can endure this painful bear.

bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency, and bitcoin has been running for almost 10 years, and I don't think it's a long time, and I think that bitcoin doesn't know how long it will be in this world.

Cryptocurrencies are here to stay so if you are planning to invest on cryptos I suggest you choose the best one. For me, its AML BitCoin the only compliant coin.

even though I didn't join from the beginning. but I also read a lot and information from friends or other people. bitcoin has been established for 10 years bro. from 2009 until now 2018. So the age of bitcoin has been 10 years.

The existence or its price?

I’m a little confused if what you’re really meant and what you’re worried about.

• Bitcoin is scattered in millions sat that can’t be burned.

• It can be “zero” only in the doomsday and Internet connection is shut down around the globe.

So in short, you’re just over thinking about it.

I think over and over to invest some of this wealth in bitcoin,

Now is always the best time to invest. But I suggest to do a thorough research first and armed your self with knowledge about bitcoin and the market. Bitcoin forum is one of the perfect place to learn and keep yourself updated with latest news and happenings in crypto world.

I am afraid that this bitcoin will be destroyed with a bull, anyone knows how long it will last?

Also learn basic trading, what is bull market (all green, price up) and bear market (all red, price down).
I think you mean bitcoin will be destroyed with a Bear. .no one really knows when bear market will last. bitcoin value is highly volatile and there's a high risk involve (thus you need to educate yourself first before investing). But anything goes with crypto world...what is $6000 today can be $10,000 value tomorrow or vice versa.

Reality is the only thing that is real.

It is a good idea to invest only what you can afford to loose, extra savings.  That way if the price for some reason drops very low, it doesn't matter that much.  If you're afraid, that means the money means too much for you.  You don't have to invest thousands, I was investing dollars over time, and one day the price jumped and it was a couple hundred dollars.

As long as theres a people or community who support, used, mined bitcoin, bitcoin would last forever, bitcoin has more speculations and predictions now, meaning in a fast way, bitcoin cannot be done by this drops, but its indicates more stronger than before.

Bitcoin will still exist when there are still people who use Bitcoin. When Bitcoin is still used and also still attractive to many people, the price of Bitcoin will be quite stable. Here we all talk about demand factors and when Bitcoin starts to be abandoned it can be ascertained that the value of Bitcoin prices can decrease and Bitcoin will disappear.

bitcoin and other cryptocoin will definitely last as long as the other communities of bitcoin and alt coin users continue to use it and from the level of trust in the coin itself, and of course other network access devices still exist, bitcoin itself can grow rapidly because what bitcoin has is a network peer to peer system.

In my opinion, bitcoin will continue to survive until internet technology is still working, because as time goes by the development of technology is always advancing, automatic bitcoin can be added to many enthusiasts and also the topic to be discussed ...

As long as people know bitcoin and continuing to used it, because as of now more people use bitcoin to make profits in markets and somewhere else that can genarate profits. We all witness that bitcoin drastically dropping but bitcoin wony stop and still in operation, meaning even falls exist and faced, bitcoin will last for more years.
