I've read through arguments like that at length, some of the best by Andreas Antonopoulos.

There seems to have been a lot of hostility and incredulity and plain old snobbery towards the Internet in its early days, but now no-one can deny its success.

The Intenet took our shitty world where we watched TV based on a schedule decided by a few channels to one where we can watch an infinite amount of live streams and a truly ridiculous library of videos, and most of the content is free.

I knew TV would die a slow death and that the future was going to be the Internet when YouTube upgraded to 480p, I watched NigaHiga videos back then, and still I had no Idea of all the innovations that were still to come.

Now there are places online where you could do your entire high school education on and it's even gamified. Khan Academy can take you from 1+1 to Calculus BC and a little beyond.

It can Teach you Physics and Chemistry and programming.

Back then you'd have to pay a tutor.

If you wanted to watch a movie you'd have to go the the DVD store 8 months after the movie stopped its run on the Cinema.

Now you can buy it online and stream it, you don't even have to download the Data on your computer.

I think we're at where the Internet was when YouTube enabled 480p.

I think we'll get to 1080p soon and then the future will be made much clearer.

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin
