How to improve a bitcoin site's Google ranking

Hi Guys,

I recently launch a local community site for bitcoiners in Northern Ireland at https://nibitcoin.com and https://forum.nibitcoin.com.

Unfortunately we launched the site 5 weeks ago, but Google is refusing to rank us for bitcoin terms, and it also doesn't allow me to run adwords campaigns, so we're struggling to gain any traffic.

Any thoughts on how to break through?

I'm not familiar with Google's algorithm but, for increased traffic, you could write more blogs which are linked to your website and use social media platforms. I think you'll be allowed to boost them on facebook.

Getting a marketers who has knowledge of SEO would be a good first step as they would be able to use available tools to get your product more traffic. Or you could also take some courses on SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in case you want to manage it yourself.

Five weeks is quite short and if you're aiming for organic traffic, it would take a bit longer than that to get desired results. You should also not limit your marketing to search engines, social media is a very good way to build traffic for your platform and stay in the loop with relevant trends.

They're accepting actually but with much more strict policy, OP's website cannot be possible as google requires legal docs.

Related to SERP, well, if you're not familiar with SEO and how google shows web page on their SERP, it requires lots of aspects before your site shows on the first or maybe at least 2-5 page depends on keywords. And it will not improve overnight, it take months or a year not unless you make mass link building campaigns on higher domain authority website to link your site from them.

What you should do is to continue your link building campaign with quality contents to crypto-related websites, do it regularly.

You need to learn more about SEO first before you can rank up on Google. It's not an easy task and you can't get instant results.

If your domain is new then you will need to wait for 6 months to see rankings on Google the right keyword should be what you focus on because after 6 months you will rank up on top 10 or 20 rankings if you did SEO properly. Except on the keyword you use sometimes it's because of many competitors or poor SEO if that's the case it won't be able to rank in the top 20.

Improve your website or forum SEO always remove all spam and plagiarism because your website will be hit by penguin updates that could affect your SEO rankings and traffic and keep your website and topic unique. That's the on-page SEO. For off-page SEO having backlinks on top rankings, Bitcoin blogs, and sites would help to rank up your forum website just like what you did right now you posted a link above it's called a backlink the result won't be instant but I believe after 6 months it would help to rank up your website.


About the AdWords campaign, it won't be easy to get approved by google if you apply to any crypto-related sites. We know they recently allowed it but actually, you can't but if you want to force your website to promote on Google ads you will need to register your domain on FinCEN as suggested on their policy. That's not an easy task even you are trying to promote a forum site unless if it's not a crypto-related site.

You can do few things yourself like creating social media pages for your website on twitter, youtube and other platforms, make your website SEO friendly following some tutorials and hire some SEO expert to help you with ranking.
Don't expect smooth ride with google because they are known for not liking bitcoin and I think their algorithms are often times anti-bitcoin.

well, I think it's an SEO issue. you need to master it to improve the quality of your site so that your site can reach page one is the SERP. in terms of advertising, I think google ads is still limiting it. well, my knowledge is still lacking in the field of advertising. however, the site you created is still very new. You need to improve the quality little by little. start registering it on google webmaster, and so on. you will not be able to make your site famous in just 5 weeks.

No, there is no anti-bitcoin algo their search engine is different compared to their Adwords campaign or Google ads.
Google search treat all website the same as another website any keyword can be used to rank up even Bitcoin as your keyword.
Just follow the guidelines from the webmaster tool if you don't want to be kicked out from the Google search engine.

I do understand your struggles, but you can’t launch a website within just few days or weeks, or even months and it will start ranking very high on Google immediately. Itall requires being hard working, and writing good contents, and then utilizing SEO to be able to get your website to rank high on Google. Search engine optimization (as you know) is very important for content creators to make their websites rank high.

So, you have to look into this, or you can hire a professional in the area of search engine optimization to work on your website and help it achieve a better rank. Then when creating your contents, try to make use of words that are going to be ranking higher, such words that people are more likely to put into the search bar on Google, that means that your contents should be optimized for Search engines.

First of all, how many daily visitors do you have to your website? if there isn’t at least a little more serious (minimum 200 daily) number here, don’t expect too much from google either. 
5 weeks is a very short period for such a new website to be ranked even indexed.
I checked your website, a lot of it seems to be well done with onsite SEO, but you still need to improve some errors. There is a lot of tools, use them.

1.Since this is going to be a Northern Ireland local community website,why don't you use a .co.uk domain instead of .com domain?
2.SEO takes a lot of time and patience and you have to produce a lot of content.
3.Improve your on-page SEO like Titles,descriptions,tags,keyword density,images,etc.
4.Build some backlinks by using social media,forums,Reddit,Quora,Youtube,relevant blog comments,etc.
There should be a healthy balance between dofollow and nofollow backlinks.
What's the point of using paid Ads on Google Adwords?Are you promoting a product or service?
Focus on providing value for free in the first few months.Try to sell a product/service only after you build a steady web traffic and a loyal audience.

You do not have to bother with the ranking because as long as you can make a good article, not copy-paste or modify the article, and do link building, your rank will increase someday. You can not expect to have a good position in Google, Yahoo, Bing, or others because another website already gets its position better in the search engine before you. Sometimes, it needs 3-6 months or even a year to have a better position and of course, that requires hard work to set it up for your website.

You should fix the problem that @examplens show and solve it right away because Robot from search engine always comes to the website that always updates their content. Before I forget, content is the king, so make sure you write an article by yourself and not buy from other people.

That will be the same thing for your local forum. Everything needs time, so you can give yourself a chance to fix every problem and start SEO to have a better position.
