Merit Giveaway for not hoarding sMerits

I didn't think about it previously. I didn't had too much intention to send sMerits to others. Lately, by visiting that thread, I have realized that it's not really a good practice to hoard sMerits. That's why I am thinking of sending all of my sMerits to others.

The requirements-
1. You have to spend 2 merits at least on good quality posts. I will not send you merit if you spend on this thread. Sending merit on this thread will disqualify you.
2. Link of the posts on which you send sMerits.

I will reward you with 1 sMerits.

Your requirements ultimately disqualifies users with no merit(Smerits)

I actually do not fancy your requirements to hand out merits and I think it deserves a rethink,high ranked members loaded with Smerits would easily hand out two merits and send the link in here(i honestly doubt they would go through the stress)

Please suggest a better requirement that'll be favorable to all and sundry

I don't get the point of your topic. Why not send merits to posts you find useful on the forum? Why make it like a competition? Just look at any thread and you'll find many people who give away merits constantly on a daily basis. Just donate to them if you don't know how to use it.

This. I dont see any point in making this a competition. Just spend your sMerits for threads/posts which are useful.
Nevertheless its a serious problem that sMerits are getting hoarded. I think we will need a global solution for this problem, like deceiving sMerits if you dont spend them.

There is no use creating a thread simply cos you wanna hand out merits to other members, and if you really want to hand out merits you can simply do that without requesting others to do likewise..

The forum is rather large and it shouldn't be difficult for you to come across a post/comment that is worth meriting

This will only send out a wrong message about the merit awarding system. Giving away merit should be born out of share interest to a post that is logical and not for the aim to get merited in return.

There are merit sources that a capable to reward members of the forum with merit. We as individuals can only assist in that at our own will and not for any incentive

PS. I know cryptoprenurbrainboss as an active and transparent person I don't think his is part of your plans

It's nice to want to encourage merits going around, but it's not something people should get rewarded for.
Some of us have already spent all of our smerits. Some hold a some cause they would not want to be lacking when they come across a high quality post.

Smerits are useless to the holder and very useful to someone else. Everyone shoud get that message and give it out, without motivation.
I appreciate the thought none the less.

Then that means you would be meritting individuals not for a good work but for the fact the merited others. That is certainly not ethical and it will undermine and bastardise the merit system. I can understand you want the merit system to be adequately distributed but I think it is actually being distributed. Most post that deserve merit actually does get merited.

Merit should be earn no gifted or pressured I think it's best to lock this thread

@S_Therapist, better lock this thread (imo). It's too early I think. I believe you need to be more mature, although you have earned much merits on short time. For spending smerit you don't need to announced as well. You have right to use your smerit on quality post. No doubts you are trying to contribute good post but this idea isn't good. If your intention is good then  find quality post and help them. Obviously we need help especially to newbie.

Depends on your opinion. But I thought to boost up the ratio sending sMerit.

You can check my sMerit history, I didn't send much before this. After realising the situation, I thought to inspire everyone to send sMerit whenever s/he saw a quality post. That was my idea.
