There are no "manipulators", there are simply big players who have the opportunity to influence the market, and obviously take advantage of it.
If we were able, we would do it too.
For what concerns us, we can only try to understand in which direction the "manipulator" will move the market, and go after it.
These are the game changers. They can do what they want. When they realize that now it is the time to bump the market, the price will suddenly go up without any reason and when people invest their money, the price will collapse again without any reason. Small investors will lose their money due to fall in the price. Manipulators buy on low price and sell on high price to collect the money.
You are giving them too much credit, it is true they can manipulate the market but they do not control it, they cannot do as they wish, they need to try to look at the market and try to see if there is any kind of tendency in it, and if there is they could try to amplify it but even they cannot go against the trend because if they do they will be giving their money to those that positioned themselves at the right side of the movement of the market.
