Thoughts?

Do you think Casascius coins are owned in mass by just a handful of people? Less than 100 people? Or is it more plausible that these coins really did get dispersed to a lot (1000s) of people, however it's just a handful that we see collecting or selling them right now?

The forum has the same very tight group of people interested in these coins - I bet it's fewer than 20 forum members that are regularly talking about these coins.

I'd say Cas coins are probably one of the only physicals that have a wide spread as well as audience. The ones talking about it are probably just the ones who really really loves them, nothing more.

I know of more than 20 people who all have at least a couple of cas coins. And that's just in my small circle, some of the people that post here in collectibles are not in that circle. There's also apparently a huge audience on ebay, buyers that nobody has a clue about. Same with newbie accounts getting created here weekly looking to sell some old cas coins they bough in 2013/2014.

I'd not worry too much about it Cheesy

Thanks for the response.

I actually meant to post this in the Collectibles forum section...where other people are talking about or selling Casascius coins.

Locking this thread and will repost in Collectibles.

Sorry!
