The Bitcoin Cash BCH ABC vs SV 2018 hard fork drama continues to grow. Here is my summary of the current Bitcoin Cash hard fork drama and how there is currently a hashpower war taking place as two different groups from within the Bitcoin Cash BCH community fight for the longest BCH blockchain (satoshi rule).

Bitcoin Cash ABC is lead by Roger Ver who is essentially the face of BCH and is also being backed by Jihan Wu / Bitmain / Antminer.

Bitcoin Cash SV is lead by Craig Wright who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, however many refer to him as faketoshi.

Nice collection of links.
Seems like ABC won but still interesting to see how the "war" evolves.

there are three cryptocurrencies listed on coinmarketcap that has me confused. i have some bch but am not able to move them. now there's bch-sv and bch-abc, both of which forked from bch? or is bch now bitcoin cash abc and the satoshi's vision version is a completely different asset now?

would the bch chain die out or will its chain continue while the abc and sv forks develop and thrive?

Not necessarily; when bitcoin forks it retans its ticker BTC and the fork fucks off, same happened here

right. that means the original bch retains its ticker. why did they have to make it confusing by appending abc? if it's still the original bch then just call it bch and let sv be bch-sv so non-technical people (like me) won't have to think that there are now three asset classes resulting from the fork...

anyway, thank you for clearing that out. cheers.

Yeah you are actually right. The reason is initially SV also wanted to compete for the ticker but just 2 days ago they went like "fuck it, we bitcoin now" and since anyway most exchanges and cmc gave it already anyway, abc is now bch. Anti abc/bch will refer to it as BAB (BCH ABC shortened).

A real fucking mess indeed.
