Maximalists have done the least to propel its adoption.
Whether you are maximalist or whatever you want to call yourself it does not matter, the market will decide. Unless you are giving away free bitcoins to non-maximalis, shut up and enjoy your money.

If maximalists have not done anything to propel up the adoption of Bitcoin then who have done it according to you? Whatever little we have achieved till date, who do you think helped us to achieve that?

Why do you think that maximalists should donate to non-maximalists?? What impact it would achieve?

We are obviously enjoying our money which we have rightfully obtained. We are also gearing up for a better future that 2018 didn't show us!

I think thats harsh,

what are you basing this on? and who do you think has done the most?
I am not a maximalist but I dont go around with bitcoin bumper stickers
on my car preaching how great BTC is.

If everyone regardless of their position does just a little it will be enough.

Just like the busker at the train station, if every passer gave him/her 1c
they woukd be rich in a very short time.

No one is going to give you any bitcoin.
And bitcoin maximalism debate is not going to increase the price of bitcoin that is already known
But it would enlightens people on and about bitcoin even more.
Every thing is not all about earning bitcoin

Maximalists have done the least to propel its adoption.

What an ignorant statement.

Bitcoin is the most adopted cryptocurrency, it has more users than all other coins combined, it has hundred and thousand times more transaction activity than most other coins. Do you think that it is thanks to some "non-maximalists"?

A lot of highly valuable members of Bitcoin community are maximalists - Peter Todd, Jameson Lopp, Lightning developers and so on. They have contributed to Bitcoin's adoption much more than some crypto-noob who "believes in technology" yet doesn't understand even the most basic things and sits on a bag of shitcoins that will die in the next few years.

the way i see it
on this forum, wher outsiders have already heard something about bitcoin to have come here.. have come here because they have already heard something about bitcoin.

they do not need to hear the utopian fluffy pony advert style stuff of dreams and hopes. they want to know the REAL pro's AND cons.
those that just want to use this forum as a fluffy pony utopia of positive promotion need to realise that the promotion is not needed. people have already received the promotion to even be reading this forum.

they want the more open and actual details of good and bad. so that they can independently know the possibilities and the risks

i call myself a maximalist. i am not interested in the altcoins and other networks. but i am a realist. its far better to get people who really want to use bitcoin for bitcoins real uses. than just to shout at shep to run towards the bitcoin field so that the wolves can run out the field with their mouths full

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

it is not even a debate, or even a topic worthy of discussion.

you should first seek out where the term "bitcoin minimalist" comes from then you can see that it is not even a valid argument. it first started by the altcoin pumpers who were furious with bitcoin price constantly going up while their altcoin was getting dumped as people pulled their money from those shitcoin and put it back in bitcoin. so they started this campaign saying it is bitcoin's fault that their shitcoin is getting dumped and called out this made up group called "bitcoin minimalists" that were apparently responsible by saying "bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency worth having and the rest are useless" which is a fact that is true for more than 95% of the altcoins specially the top 10.

What does being a maximalist have to do with propelling adoption? Though I'm personally not much of a maximalist(though BTC is my pick out of other coins focusing to be a currency), if anything, maximalists actually has a positive effect on the space. It gets the newbies out of the crapcoins.

Yes, there are definitely some bitcoin maximalists that are quite close minded(those "all altcoins are scams" people), they're maximalists for a reason. Because bitcoin is still the overall best cryptocurrency we have right now. No other coin/token even comes close.
