Do you mean the government adopting the blockchain technology?
If that's what you mean then it'll be good for the masses but no so good for the "corrupt" government itself..
The blockchain technology is transparent and this will kinda disrupt the government from carrying out it's shady clandestine deals to enrich themselves..
I honestly doubt that any government will be bold enough to adopt the blockchain technology

In my opinion it has good effects and I will be glad if thats happen especially in big countries like US and most likely It will create mass adoption. But from what I noticed now government is afraid of it because they can't control it but I'm looking forward for a decentralized future.

No, there is already a case. On August 10, 2018, the Shenzhen Taxation Bureau of China began to use blockchain invoices.
Here is the announcement on the official website of the Shenzhen Taxation Bureau. you can translate it on Google:
Announcement of the Shenzhen Municipal Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation on the implementation of the electronic ordinary invoices issued through the blockchain system

My point is: In the long run, the government will increasingly pay attention to the benefits of the blockchain and is willing to try to use it sparingly. But this may not change their strict attitude towards crypto. In their opinion, the blockchain is good, but crypto is bad, although this is a bit contradictory.

It would be difficult for the government to adopt the blockchain technology into its various activities without trying to but in regulations there by going against block chain decentralized system

Blockchain is transparent and open source which makes it perfect for voting since the votes cant be altered or otherwise manipulated. But in that case the question is how much would a county benefit from the fact that they cant rig the voting system?!

If voting made any difference they wouldn't let us do it.

This technology would be doubly important in third world countries, besieged with corruptions. But, unfortunately it would be the more transparent countries that are more likely to adopt it.
It is transparent and files stored are immutable, it could also greatly reduced cost of activities like elections. And also facilitate the process, while offering real time updates visible to all.

There is a discussion about Blockchain being used in election/voting. You may check the below thread.

The above referenced thread (which is only a few days old and resides in the Economy-> Economics board) by @Kemarit discusses the topic quite well, with real life examples of blockchain usage in Switzerland, Japan, Sierra Leone, West Virgina. The given examples are all really exploratory of the technology, and are geographically limited for those purposes.

I’d suggest anyhow that further discussion on the topic be placed on the referenced thread.
