Dear Crypto Community,

I'd just like to warn you of a dangerous exchange: uphold.com
I've been doing business with this exchange for about a year.
Everything was going well until last Saturday. Something is wrong.
I sent two charges of 700 yuan to the site (about 100 USD)
Both of them sent me back a message in Chinese saying there is some error:

As you can see their name is all over it.

Below are the chat logs to my many many attempts to contact uphold.com. A company based out of:

As well as other offices worldwide including one not far from my current location.

I intend to file claims against this company with the BBB, FinCEN, SEC and local court jurisdictions, and report to any media outlets that is willing to cover it. They actually demanded my social security number to look up the information. Their site requests it all the time, but there is an option to say you don't have one. It's outrageous an online company would dare ask for this, and anyone sharing that is risking everything. I don't have one to share with them. And I would never share that online as that would enable complete commercial identity theft.

Is it possible they are telling the truth and they don't have the money I sent them? Sure, but their support while "polite", is totally banal and unhelpful, which shows they don't really care about their customers. They are nevertheless responsible for the transaction even if some third party or hacker got a hold of it and intercepted the funds. Their site is either fraudulent or not secure. You may loose your money. Do not by any means use any Chinese yuan to fund uphold.com

Dear Uphold.com,

According to your company’s trustees you company did
Not receive my funds on Saturday, two orders for a
Debit of a total of about 1400 yuan to be credited to my
Chinese yuan card on uphold.com. On my side I saw the
Error message. However I did record the two debits did
Take place in my account as show by my previous screen shots
And recorded in my bank transactions. Further information
May be available at my bank and I will check with them today.
It would be helpful if you could provide me with any information
Your company has on transactions of these sorts. Has this happened
Before when users have been funding their Chinese Yuan card?
What is the nature of your relationship to the company which
Charges China’s union pay cards? Are they in contact with your company?
Have you mentioned this problem to them? Are they aware of it?
Please understand i’ll pursue this matter until it is fully resolved.
