Fork is usually done in order to somehow improve the network. To give it new necessary properties. This is the rebirth of which the renewed network begins to behave differently, this is a new reincarnation of the network, so to speak. Therefore, forks are sometimes necessary. They improve the network.

Hardfork was not supported by the miners. and Buterin finally suggested calling it an update, as hard fork implies a split. in the case of Ethereum, this is just a client update.

Constantinople is an important milestone on the ETH roadmap. It is several improvements bundled together, but the key driver is that it moves towards a scaling solution. Check out the roadmap, or have a look at the many articles on the web that go into much greater depth.

The important thing for a casual ETH holder is to be aware that a hardfork does not always mean a chain split. This ETH fork should be viewed simply as an upgrade; it is not contentious and everyone should follow the fork... meaning no chain split and no new coin to hold. Don't fall for any of the 'new coin' scams.

What is the reason for the fork?

Anybody mind to shed some light?

Don't trust ETH fork for a free coin, I have scammed two times from NOWA and ETCV well, my hardwork pays nothing as I support hardfork like that. Well, invest, that is much more better to do.
Be more vigilant next time, it was very glaring that ethereum classic vision was a pure scam, any fork asking for a private key before you can be eligible is a red flag which only noobs can fall for that trick the only recognised hard fork is constantinople.

I also noticed that, they wanted to sell their coins, (which perhaps has not been minted) at discounted rate. I discovered that when I opened their telegram channel.
Nowa was long detected to be a scam, which was foiled through fake team members.
While ETCV used anonymous team and anything of such should be suspected as scam.
