I certainly agree that I am an outlier. But I use BTC all the time to buy stuff. It is 95% of the money I use on the internet. This week I am buying Holiday presents for example. I think it's dumb to pay a fee to turn better money into fiat, then pay a charge and risk your identity to buy stuff. I basically live my life on a discount.

You are like me then, but not all people are the same as we are, i know people that hold coin in their wallet for many years ...make no sense to me!

I think people continue to speak about mass adoption it because not all countries are adopting bitcoin. Utility is limited that's why they want mass adoption.
Many people always speak and talk about mass adoption of cryptocurrency but still it is not adopt in all over the world. Just like what you said the bitcoin is not supported by other countries or they not adopting bitcoin but if you study the movement of adopting bitcoin some countries start to adopt and allow it and I think it is the sign that bitcoin will be implemented in all countries.
You're right.Knowing the fact that there are already countries who have come to adopt bitcoin,so there are really high chances that our very own countries will also adopt it sooner.Bitcoin may not be use today to buy for some goods, but hopefully in the next years it will be benefited already by the mass without the presence of an exchanger.

For mass adoption to be successful the cryptocurrency market will actually need regulations to control the number ICO in the market, else the market will be flooded with some many ICO and it will be difficult.

The revolution has already started, especially in the Dubai area where they will use blockchain to reduce administration fees. Now we are just waiting for supermarkets to start accepting bitcoins

Why people continue to speak about the mass adoption?
well it is one of the best way to get into moon,
mass adoption includes the merchant around the world accepting cryptocurrency on their stores.
and that is the number one thing we should have now!

It is nice to use bitcoin in businesses but am sure if one thing that many are considering before accepting it ,which is the volatile and that alone can make any business that does not understand this go bankruptcy and the business will close shop , but if there is a way it can be immediately convert to fiat when collected as means if payment and verse versa then it will be a kind of save , so people using it on daily bases are different to company which always look forward to the profit and the sharp dip of bitcoin can make them close shop and that I see as the major reason many have not really fully accepting it .

In almost all of the countries, bitcoin has not been adopted yet. There are a few places that bitcoin is accepted. But we cannot say that bitcoin is being used as a currency.
Most of the people who have invested in bitcoin are holding their coins. They are not buying things with bitcoin. But they are hopeful that bitcoin will become a common currency. Not because of using bitcoin as a payment system. They want bitcoin to be adopted. Because that time the price will fly.

Mass adoption of cryptocurrency will only give way for increase in demand which will help price to surge and the more many people understand crypto uses as utility functions for their product and services the better the crypto will be attractive.

Well, that's a tricky one there. Actually, it's not about how many of us using the platforms or coins but it's about what many of the projects promised and if they're really delivering what they promised.
It seems the surge of ICO brought many inconveniences in the cryptospace and this major correction we're in is also helping to clean that mess.
Maybe when all is said and done, we'll get the good ones that we can trust and safely use.

Mass adoption will not happen overnight, it will take many years before it finally happen. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies should be use widely by many people around the world then the business sectors will follow. Bitcoin adoption for example is already taking place in some wealthy countries because they are more open minded and crypto friendly. Mass adoption will only happen around the world if they fully informed on the use of cryptocurrency.
