Algorithm Updation

My coin was build under CryptoNight algorithm. Now I wish to update the algorithm to enable additional features. Here I wish to know what will be changes and challenge I will be facing after updation.

And also Kindly suggest me about how updation is made possible?

I don't think there is any need for us to give you an opinion on what kind of algorithm to do because you will never be serious in developing the algorithm since you weren't the one who came up with the idea yourself, I think the best you should do is to think of a need that is lacking in the world and try to bring up a blockchain solution that is going to solve this need thereby creating wealth for you in the crypto space and also giving you a name.
