getascension.comCryptokitties are fun fluffy tradeable assets. They have generated a lot of value simply based on scarcity. Because of the aesthetics of kittens, they can appeal to a mass market.
Persuing the similar idea, I am working on a new project where people can trade movie star tokens, musician tokens, movie tokens, and anything else that is beautiful to them etc.
The trading would be based on the scarcity of the token, and the news about the celebrity or movie or TV show etc that it is based on. Good news, the price will go up, Bad news it will go down.
I have been working on the crypto-economic design and codebase of this "Ascension" project for about a year. It is almost ready for a public testnet, with an easy to use website that people can use easily.
Unfortunately it is too much work now to start the project with only me working. I am the core dev and can write the code and blockchain, but all other aspects I have difficulties with such as marketing, graphics design, etc.

The value that can be generated from trading virtual tokens is huge, and I believe it will be a new market segment, with many other blockchains following after that will also trade virtual tokens. I believe all of these blockchains will form an agreement that the tokens based on the same movie star (or etc) will be interchangeable, and thus the scarcity of the tokens will be preserved globally.
