One decade down the road, Bitcoin, the flagship cryptocurrency, has managed to jump to fame and adoption beyond borders, surpassed the expectation of any cryptocurrency maniac or even its real inventor Satoshi Nakamoto. Coin Dance, a crypto pioneer, recently carried out a survey and found out that BTC is currently entirely legal in more than 111 great countries globally.

The Coin Dance survey indicates that only 10 out of 251 countries regard BTC as outright illegal.

Quote
The ten countries that prohibit Bitcoin include: Afghanistan; Vietnam; Algeria; Vanuatu; Bangladesh; Saudi Arabia; Bolivia; Republic of Macedonia; Pakistan and Qatar
The countries above are restricting bitcoin because they cannot control it in my opinion, and maybe some it are afraid that it will be used by criminals/terrorism related activities...
Many countries in this article remains unknown or "alegal" which means they didn't decide whether it is legal or should be banned, users of bitcoin in those countries may get sanctions at any time and for any stupid reason you can imagine

It's nearly impossible to be controlled imo. There is no way we can stop people from creating a Bitcoin address or doing P2P transaction. As long as internet or other medium exist, it's futile to forbid people from using Bitcoin. Declaring Bitcoin as illegal won't stop bad people from using it, while accepting it might open new opportunities.

10 only? I think we are really close on winning this game and the final phase is just the mainstream adoption. I have a theory on mind why we still don't reach that and that is because there's a high chance that USA wants to have  much more control or holdings of the total  btc supply and they want it go down a bit more so china would sell it to them.

That's what governments controlled by losers failed to understand. Banning something will make it more popular, while accepting and regulating it will be profitable for everyone...
