Hello,

I am looking for a loan of 0.3 BTC to refill my lightning node. The purpose of doing so is to help the bitcoin network, and to boost the ranking of my node. The funds will be locked in channels, so unless there is some sort of tech failure, your funds will not be lost or spent.

Since it is a low risk loan (I'm not actually spending the money), I am offering 5% interest (0.015 BTC) back in a month's time (30 days). I do get BTC quite often, so I will probably repay you in a week or so on a pro rata basis (for example, if I take 15 days to pay you, the added interest will be 50% of 0.015 BTC). You can see proof that I get BTC quite often from my YouTube channel, StackGambler. I understand that collateral is required, so I offer up my Google Pixel 2XL (worth 450 SGD on the secondary market) as well as my brand new Yahama Electric Guitar, which is worth 1200 SGD. At current BTC prices, the value of the collateral is more than the value of the loan I require. I'm not selling my guitar because it's extremely dear to me, but I am happy to offer it up as collateral. This loan can be given out of trust, or if one of you is based in Singapore, I will be happy to either give you the collateral (if you are close) or you can come pick it up from the Simei area. I'll summarize the loan request below:

Request: 0.3 BTC
Payback: 0.315 BTC
Time period: 30 days
Collateral: $1600 worth of goods
Note: You can view your funds locked and unspent on a 1ML link in my lightning node.

Thanks for reading!

I like gambling. Probably currently trying to figure out how to pay next month's rent.

Since it is a low risk loan

Not low risk.  Who cares what you claim to do after you get an irreversible currency?

Collateral: $1600 worth of goods

This is all that  matters.  List your collateral, so we can see it it's worth it.

Understood. I'm hoping someone from Singapore can hit me up and help me out here. If not, guess I'm SOL. It's alright, it's nothing too urgent.

Let me quote Vods post about "What is considered collateral?"

What is considered collateral?

Collateral is something that can easily be resold to cover the loan value plus interest should the loaner default on the loan.

- The best collateral is another crypto-currency, such as Ethereum (also written as ETH).  Coins must be moderately traded on multiple exchanges.
- Some digital wares such as domain names can be considered as long as the user cannot recover it.
- Small valuable items that can be shipped though the mail - i.e. gold, silver, iphones, etc.
- Large items, such as a motorcycle or guitar can be used if you live close to the person giving you the loan.  Try localbitcoins.com
I highlighted the last one there since this is what you are offering...

I understand that collateral is required, so I offer up my Google Pixel 2XL (worth 450 SGD on the secondary market) as well as my brand new Yahama Electric Guitar, which is worth 1200 SGD.

I was in Singapore last November 2018 and there's a lot of lenders there that offers loan without collateral, just the usual identification and proof that you can up. I even considered taking one since I was there for almost a month. Why not try that instead of asking for a loan here.

The main problem is, I have what can be best described as a freelance job which depends on the number of clients I have. There's no steady income flow; it's quite erratic, so I find it hard to get loans from banks. More importantly, I prefer taking loans in BTC so that I'm not subject to the wild fluctuations of the price (I may end up having to pay significantly more if I take a loan in Singapore dollars and convert it to BTC for my node). Thanks for the advice, though. As I mentioned above, it's not a life or death matter, so I can do without the loan.

I like gambling. Probably currently trying to figure out how to pay next month's rent.

Without the collateral that you offer (any proof?) in the hands of a possible lender (you have a lot near you and they do business with BTC), you won't get any money.
Since that it isn't urgent it will be better to lock your thread and focus to your freelance job. Cool
