Documentary about Bitcoin

wow is it available on netflix? i think i will watch it, from the ttile and the image cover i think it is a good documentary and i think that it can makes people know about bitcoin, when it already posted on netflix.

Well of course. Especially since netflix is a pretty big name for entertainment and a lot of people are subscribed to it. Those that can't find interest researching about crypto on their own can simply watch a documentary that's easier and more entertaining. It'll put btc awareness closer to people which will be very good for adoption.

There is enough to find about crypto if you search for it and are genuinely interested in understanding the fundamentals. Documentaries however are a bit too sensational and highlight irrelevant aspects mostly.

Podcasts however are very interesting to dive into, especially if you follow those who actually know what they are talking about and don't follow the hype and technical analysis crap we see a lot lately.

The best thing about podcasts is that you can listen to them while doing something else. In terms of youtube channels, BnkToTheFuture is what I like to follow. Not exactly a podcast, but I just consume the audio.

I also didn't watch this one yet, but surly I will when I have free time. The only thing I met is like special reports on TV news about bitcoin and crypto. All of them were negative about crypto and called it as a new financial pyramid. Well, of course, if the government controls everything what people see on news such opinion of special reporters seems logical. But I would like to see something opposite and this widep seems exactly such kind.

That's why I did not watch it, but nowadays there are many educational materials about bitcoin spread all over the internet. Bitcoin is already known worldwide

I would love to see that movie. I like the fact that bitcoin is beginning to penetrate the sphere of cinema. This is undoubtedly the best way to inform people about what bitcoin is. I've also heard some songs about bitcoin and it seems there are even cartoons.

Out of curiosity, I've search whether there are any Bitcoin or cryptocurrency related movie or series on Netflix and guess what... I've found one!

Banking on Bitcoin is an older documentary (now) but it was fairly well done. We're probably due for another good profile of Bitcoin, particularly given the lull in demand we've seen over the last year. In fact the next doc should focus more about how mainstream business and some of the biggest banks in the world (!) have quietly started chasing all the opportunity that exists because of bitcoin.

Focusing a documentary on the irony that these companies are willing to chase trend and profit of blockchain but not mention anything about cryptocurrency or bitcoin (as if it were the spam email of blockchain rather than the first successful use case) is a lucrative idea, not to mention so appropriate right now. It would also be a great opportunity to talk about a company like Chase creating its own crypto to facilitate payments is hypocrisy because of Jamie Dimon's constant belittling of blockchain for banking and the fact that a corporate run, closed blockchain just ensures that they'll remain the middle-man charging a toll to use their technology.

It would be refreshing for any bank to say - "You know what, bitcoin and blockchain has shown us how antiquated our system is. And that failure on our part to leverage technology to improve the payment/banking system is hurting our customers. Here's what we're going to do about it..."

Ahh, anyone know a good doc producer? Clearly i have ideas...

I will have a close look at the documentary later today and I am really glad such a documentary exist. If its possible I will look for a way to download it and post in different sites so other people can view it and get information about bitcoin. We should come up with more documentaries giving good insights about bitcoin and its functionality. I have seen written bitcoin books but this is the first time i get to hear about bitcoin documentary.
