just launched the site as a fundraiser, so it's super boring right now lol I'm just trying to get the word out.

If you've been on the internets for 10-15 years you may remember milliondollarhomepage.com.  I'm raising crypto the same way that kid did for his college tuition .... but I won't be keeping it all

I'll be raising crypto by selling ad space .... one pixel at a time.

Anybody can advertise, but I’m hoping to keep the focus on blockchain related projects.

If you've got a crypto related project I'd love to have an ad up for you, because I have none so far lol

The goal is to sell a million pixels for the coin/token equivalent of $1 per pixel.

That would be a $1,000,000 crypto portfolio when all the pixels are sold.

Once all the pixels are sold the fun begins! I think it's against the rules here but check out the FAQ page on the site for details.

This is literally one of my first post to get the word out so there isn’t much on the site but an empty homepage, a blank portfolio and some FAQ…. but hey check it out.. it’s free to register!

Good luck with your project, however as it stands, i don't see many people buying one of your pixels due to the lack of uniqueness, provably fair mechanisms, guarantees and transparancy.

• The domain is using whois privacy, nobody knows who you are... What assurance do you give you won't just dissapear after all pixels have been sold?
• It seems like even if you're legit, nobody knows who'll win those big prizes, there's no mechanism preventing you from cheating
• Sad to say, but i've seen a couple of these million dollar pages in the crypto community already... You're far from the first person to try this

Yea I thought about that but I feel like I can.  The crypto game is a whole new(ish) world and I think it would be fun to see page of their ads.  Not to mention track their donations.

Also it seems a 100 worth of crypto isn’t much for a new project to get som ad space.

Straight to the Whois lol.  Did you see the publicity that kid got?  That’s not me.

I totally see your point though.  I doubt the winners will appreciate their emails being published either.  That comment there just makes the conspiracy seekers go nuts lol. I knew it would be coming, i’m Just not sure how to get around it.

All I can say is it’s free to register to win, you’ll never be out anything.....

You forgot my favorite one: bussybuddy... This dude wanted 1 BTC for 100 pixels...  He tought his "idear" was worth 10.000 BTC (take the term "idear" losely, he just downloaded a free php/mysql million pixel script that has been floating around the web since 2006 and installed it), and it wasn't at a time when BTC was worthless neither, IIRC it was in 2017 when BTC price was really high... The million pixel page wasn't even on his TLD, he used his tld to get people to send him their resume's containing all private information and promised 1 BTC per applicant...

Needless to say his site went offline.... Luckily, i don't think he has convinced any unlucky victim to send him 1 BTC...

Oh yeah, I do remember that one. Some people really have Bitcoin symbols in their eyes when they're creating their new website.
As you can see from looking at my list, this idea has been tried so many times.

I know that the person who made Cryptopiece really puts a lot of time in it, trying to sell advertising on many different platforms.
I think he also has a couple of threads here in the Services section.

Without extensive promoting, you're really not going to sell any pixels.

As others have said, this is not a unique idea, someone already 'exploited' it so I don't know if others will still join this kind of hype.

what a fiasco that was to get fixed.  Used GoDaddy free hosting account which turned out to be crap (go figure).  Had to migrate to another server.  SSL reissued



I realize it's not original, I don't think it has to be.  The fact that 37 people registered after only this post shows me it can.  Who knows if it will work but it's worth the try.

When people buy a pixel, how long do you guarantee the page will stay up?
