Thank you for the information, but I don't use Asus, I use Dell Grin
I hope that Asus will be aware of that news and they will fix the update with the new one to prevent the hackers attack the Asus user.
But I still trying to prevent anything that might comes or attack to my laptop and I always activate Windows Defender which is enough for me to defend my system.

If ASUS do not say anything to clarify the FUD that has being spreading, then their business will soon crash. This is a very serous issue that needs urgent attention.

I'm also an asus user thanks for this info, i'll be going to check if I also have that update, if this already been around for 3 months, not sure if I can say that my laptop still safe, better to check it up and pray that it won't harm my system, good thing as I always back up my system and if ever that my laptop needs to be formatted I have all the files saves from my spare hard drive.

I don't have my ASUS laptop but there are too many users that will be affected by this.

Thanks for informing the community.

If your Physical Mac address is compromised they can find your PC and send a malware that is why I always use a 3rd party software where I can mask my Physical Mac address to hide my real laptop information including the IP's.

If you guys want to be safe Kaspersky is one of the top 3 antiviruses that I know your cryptocurrencies are safe.

I suggest you if you have an ASUS laptop try to use TMAC where you can generate a random mac to temporary mask your Physical address to hide your laptop information.

Thank you for posting this im using my ROG laptop atm and i have disabled updates so i wont get this update with the malware, lets spread this news and help everybody avoid this type of malware be safe everyone

It was good to have news, of course, but has ASUS made a statement on this? An important issue and other brands of computers can also pose a risk.

That is true, you need to turn off the auto update of your laptop especially if you are using it for cryptocurrency.
To make it much better, never search any porn websites. use your laptop privately with cryptocurrency and never download untrusted files.

Lets wait for the ASUS statement for this.

Yes, it was all over the news. Asus already admitted the hack and released an update to remove the malware. Hopefully it's really clean now.

My PCs have always been ASUS, I have already verified the information,
but because I have always put all the programs there is no presence of it,
however in automatic updates you should be cautious,
there you can enter all the malicious codes.
