I've been wondering whether or not to buy the Ant Miner S1 180GH/s miner, it costs 1 BTC(almost) which is as of now 628 dollars or so. Adding 20% of VAT to those 628 dollars as well as buying a new PSU and various fees on the customs it totals 1.4BTC. The miner will BREAK EVEN after 5 months of 30% diff jumps.

I am not sure whether to buy it or not.

Where to buy them in this price?
Not bad at all.

So if you would buy 5 of them costs will be repayed in 1 month?
Or I don't get it right?

I nearly bought some, but I decided it would not be worth it due to the fact that the company is shipping out so many of them. to me, they are trying to unload the last of what they have to prepare for the next generation gear. those do not have 5 months mining left in them (by my judgement alone) because I believe KnC will ship the neptune well before then, and others will also be flooding the market with 1T+ units well before those 5 months are up. you may see $ ROI but I think you would be lucky to see 50%-75% roi in bitcoin if you bought today, maybe you will see profit in bitcoin though, hard to say for sure.

the majority believe its worth it however, and its the best deal Ive found on the market so if your itching to buy one, you may as well =)

No it would still take 5 months and depend on your cost of electricity plus the price of BTC, etc.

I wouldn't do it, 5 months payback period is too long for this kind of vol asset

Yes indeed Smiley my math seems not too good in this case Tongue

Indeed if you will buy 5 you will pay 5 times more Smiley so it need 5 times more time to recover costs but we have 5 times more devices so yes indeed still 5 months Smiley and maybe even more because like you said of electricity price.

But as well after 5 months profits would be 5 times bigger Smiley
