John McAfee is releasing his own independent cryptocurrency, according to an official Twitter post on May 29.
According to his website on the announced cryptocurrency, the “McAfee Freedom Coin” will roll out some time this fall. The McAfee Freedom Coin appears to aim for total isolation and independence from traditional currencies, assets and exchanges in an effort to reach “the Holy Grail of cryptocurrency — economic freedom.”
I also read about that Freedom coin, it's not mineable and not airdrop and it will not be traded in the market, will these attract investors knowing that it has no platform and cannot be traded in the market, maybe only as a sort of symbolism, so there will be no roadmap to follow, looks like a shit coin which offer nothing to holders.
So is he just creating a coin for fun? Because I really don’t know how he intends to run it successfully and how he intends to gain investors without putting all these things you have listed into consideration. I can as well say this is then not a coin to me, because any coin you issue for investment should be traded in the market, either in the online trading market or over the counter.
I then wonder who is target audience will be, people will only raise the money or invest in it through any platform he wishes to use to raise the fund because they are gullible, Not many people knows about what you said and I am sure they won’t research, till they buy the coin before they know they have ended up having a shitcoins.
