[WTB] Cheap Ubuntu VPS

I want to buy a very cheap VPS running Ubuntu 18.04/20.04, the cheapest out there. The problem is that there is no guide showing the prices, I just googled "Ubuntu VPS" and got some results from digital ocean, but I may find cheaper packages here.

Requirements:

1 CPU.
500GB storage. (I want to run a full node)
Bandwidth: Anything larger than 1TB.
I think that 1GB RAM is fine.

I also want to pay in BTC.

This would cost you at least 80 dollars per month Grin

And mostly because you want 300 GB disk space, thats the problem. and also bandwidth is a problem also.

I can buy from my local vps provider for 70 dollars and give that to you if you want.

The only VPS hosting that I know of right now that accepts crypto is RouterHosting. I have tried it for around a couple of months and decided to go for another provider.

You can check out ramnode's Massive KVM VPS. They will give you a VPS with 2GB memory, 650GB of HDD space, and 7500GB of bandwidth for $10 per month, and they accept crypto as payment.

You can also check out lowendbox for cheap VPS deals. Not all providers accept bitcoin though.

In my experience, my host killed bitcoind after running for a few seconds. A workaround is to rename it, and limit the load it causes by using cputool or cpulimit. See How to install & run a full BitcoinCash node on a cheap hosted Ubuntu 16.04 /18.04 VPS without getting banned!. This howto is for a Forkcoin, but the same applies for Bitcoin.

It says: "Perfect for data storage and backups.", with most VPS providers that means they don't allow heavy (I/O) load.

I've had some experience with offers from that site, but most of the offers I used disappeared after a while. I have slightly better experiences with LowEndTalk (check the reviews for each provider).

My blockdata.loyce.club runs at HostSolutions Services in Romania. It's had it's issues, but offers a lot of disk space at a good price on LowEndTalk (I think I got it at Black Friday), offers posted by user cociu. But as always, low price is a trade off against reliability and performance. It's perfect for my needs.

My web server for my site has excess capacity for running a second full node, PM me and I can get this sorted out too.

It can be done immediately as I already own the hardware.
