IF when I sent some btc to my friend 0.08179 btc was equal to 500 euros, how much was the btc price?
I tried with a simple proportion like 0.08179:500=1:x, but seems it'not right, and I feel stupid like a potato. Normally even if I don't do it many times I can solve basic math problems without SO much pain, and this is a very very simple one, but I am excruciating.
Like a potato, LOL. Haven't heard that one before.
Where we live we would say stupid like a shoe
cryptjh and BADecker already gave the right answers, but I want to add that your original answer was right too

your simple proportion 0.08179:500=1:x solves as:
x=500/0.08179 =6113,22€, which is the correct answer.
proportions are "easier" to solve when you put the x as a numerator (above the line)
eg:
500/0.08179=x/1 => x=1*500/0.08179
