I wan't to to save up some money on electricity by mining coins that don't use so much as scrypt. So which are these coins?

And also summer is coming and the heat will be....

I suggest staking with HoboNickels.  No GPU required, as it would be utilizing the proof of stake coin generation.  Easy for beginners because stake starts at 10 days.

Either you go with POS or then your out of luck. How can people even think there is something like low power consumption coins? Either you want to mine at full power(100%) or you decrease your power consumption = fewer coins. If X11 is said to use less power that's just bullshit, you realize that this means that mining X11 coins is not optimized and your basically mining at less efficiency.

It is very likely that more efficient software already exicts for these algorithms that take advantage of the full potential of the GPU which mean the same temperature and energy consumption as scrypt, and a significantly higher hashrate.

it doesn't matter, litecoin uses scrypt which taxes gpu a lot

groestl actually doesn't tax the gpu as much, so while you can make an asic for it, you're probably not going to because of how unpopular it is
and nobody is wasting their time trying to optimize the last 1% of the mining script
