Another Bitcoin mixer discontinued

Ecomix.io is another mixer who recently decided to discontinue their project. The site is no longer hosted and gone.

I doubt the reasons are the same as Bestmixer, (perhaps something like with bitblender can be speculated) but both have been closed/shut down during the same days.

I wonder if this will be the fate of all mixers today or tomorrow. I never heard of Ecomix, may be not that much popular but I am well aware about chipMixer. I hope they will do fine and continue there service.

On a side note, if most of the mixers shout down then ChipMixer will do monopoly business which will not be a good for the customers in my opinion.

I haven't even heard before about Ecomix and i do wonder if these shutdown of Mixers or voluntarily close its doors would continue? This does proves out on how the recent issues
or incidents do happen with mixing sites does impact towards other as well.As you said if Chipmixer will able to sustain its position now then it is really an advantage for their side.

Probably accepted their fate or could have been that the funds lost during the scam was vital for their operation. In all honesty, I haven't even heard of Ecomix up until now, This is bound to happen for low-volume services that couldn't attract new customers/users to their site: closure. Good thing this wasn't all about the regulation thingy that has been happening very recently that targeted mixers and just another case of a somewhat poorly maintained service that could have gone big had the operators put their heart and dedication into it.

I wouldn't worry about this. This is just one of the mixers that appeared out of nowhere in the last few months. It was probably just a test from the owner (not a serious attempt, like ChipMixer, BitBlender, etc...); and when he saw he couldn't get enough (or any) traffic, he closed out. Maybe it has some link with the BestMixer shutdown, but I doubt it.

I agree. It doesn´t look like to be closed by authorities, as it was a very small mixer (never even heard of them). The most famous and biggest mixers out there are still operating (thankfully)

Maybe all tumbler site we shut down sooner or later because after bestmixer been seized openly by Europol some other tumbler site are shutting down their services and what Europol accused bestmixer for was money laundering which we both know all tumbler site will be guilty of that in some ways.

He is but his website isn't. It's fairly a small and a new mixer to be taken down due to legal concerns. Having said that, mixers like ChipMixer and the other famous ones are probably under the radar and have more chances of going down.

It sucks that governments can just accuse you of something while they know it's not like that in reality. I mean, sure, there are definitely some criminals using these services, but privacy is the biggest demand factor.

Privacy more than ever has become a thing with how exchanges will decide for you what services they don't want you to withdraw coins to. Coinbase has been known to shut down accounts for that specific reason for over a year.

Looks more like they have to work out some technical difficulties they are facing. Most likely not related to governments going after it. Governments go after the big fishes. Ecomix is a waste of time and resources for them.

The site was offline for more than a week when I posted and I don't think it's maintenance. (I'm not the type of guy who starts to be afraid when a website is offline since 24h). ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT. There is no host connection behind the Ip address so the server has been taken down. If it's really maintenance then, they should installed a maintenance page on their website, or something like that, idk. The domain name expires next month, so let's see..
