Has anyone used a StakeBox for staking coins?

Just to preface my question, I did some searching in the altcoin section before making this thread, and I came across a post from 2016 I made that clearly displayed my ignorance:

Yeah, I have the same thought.  I just get the feeling that holding onto a coin and expecting a return by just letting it sit there is waaaay too good to be true.  What am I missing here?  

Now it's 2019 and I'm very much interested in staking coins, with a particular penchant for PIVX.  I just found out about Raspberry Pi staking, but I think I'm far too computer-ignorant to set up one for staking--or at least it would take a hell of a long time.  While researching this stuff, I came across stakebox.org, which makes StakeBoxes specific to a lot of PoS coins.  I'm sure a lot of you know what they are, but I haven't found anyone on this forum ever mentioning them, nor could I find any reviews online.

Have any of you used one of these machines, and if so what was your experience with it?  I'm wondering whether I should just buy one of these or try to set up a RPi unit on my own.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Bump.  

I just got my PIVX stakebox in the mail, though I haven't set it up yet.  Looks like a pretty slick piece of machinery, even if it is only a raspberry pi with a logo on its case.  

My understanding is that you can use it via a wi-fi connection, but I'm wondering how reliable that is.  I don't have my own internet connection and thus can't connect it with an ethernet plug.  For my main PC I use a wi-fi adapter with a pretty good range and "borrow" the wi-fi from a business across the street.  Don't know if I can do the same thing with the stakebox, but I'm guessing no.  I may have to wait until I can spring for my own internet hookup.

I'm still interested to know if anyone's used a stakebox, not just for PIVX but for any PoS coin.  The manufacturer does make stakeboxes for a lot of different coins.

Based on the fact that nobody has replied to this thread, I can only assume there aren't a lot of Stakebox users, PIVX enthusiasts, or that this thread keeps getting buried under a mountain of shitposts in this section.

I have another question that I brought up before in another thread, but I can't find that thread:  The PIVX wallet that came loaded on my Stakebox is now out of date.  Does anyone know how to load a new version onto the SD card without having to have the Stakebox connected to the internet (which is the whole reason I haven't used it yet)? 

There are different wallet types available on the PIVX site, and I think I recall someone telling me that the Linux version works for the Raspberry Pi.  Does anyone know if that's the case?
