A buddy and I have been working on a telemedicine project, and we're proud to announce we're live! So far we have 6 doctors, and _hopefully_ we'll help push Bitcoin forward for even more avenues.

Can you put a bit more into what you're about? That link could lead to anything round here and it would help people if they know what you're actually doing.

Just saying you're a blockchain medical project doesn't mean very much - what's your focus for example?

Oh for sure. So we offer medical consultations with specialists. A client will purchase a 15 minute block of time with the specialist of their choice,   and using whichever technology you both agree on - Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp, whatever you have -  consult with a board certified doctor just the same as you'd do in their office.

Ahhh great! It's a growing sector - emedicine so you might see some good demand, especially considering the current socioeconomic climate from the new covid.

Yep! We were working on it in our spare time for the last year, then when this started it was very much a full-time endeavour.

Well I took a link at the first membership claim of your first doctor.

He is not a certified member of the American Board of Anesthesiology.  Are you verifying these doctor's claims?

Also, please explain how this uses a blockchain.

We accept payments via bitcoin, and certainly we verify all our doctors. That board certification is very recent, as he’s actually co-partner on the site. I’m sorry you have concerns, but we’re serious about providing the best experience with fully qualified, legitimate doctors.

Looks like another option in a sea of telemedicine websites.

Is your USP Bitcoin payments, or it something else?

Also, do your Bitcoin rates fluctuate dynamically with the market rate, or are they fixed? So far, they seem to be fixed as they haven't changed in the few minutes I've had the site open.

The doctors all seem pretty legit, but you should probably set up a standard system for calls, e.g. set a specific tool e.g. Zoom or Skype, rather than leaving it ambiguous.

So if I drive a car, can I say I'm an automobile designer?  No, your project does not use the blockchain - bitcoin uses the blockchain.

The board certification for your first doctor is not recent - it doesn't exist.

I think searched the California State Medical License database for your second doctor - not found.

If your doctors are legit, you should update their info with links leading to the proof

I wanted to say the same. Because upon checking the list of doctors on his site, not even profile links is included. If the user wants to check his background before calling him for a consultation, you should put all the necessary links for that doctor. We are talking about the life of a person here. How can you trust a doctor without necessary qualifications in place? This is very important for someone in the field of medicine.

You all have interesting advice, we'll look into it.

I'm rather disgusted by the gatekeeping that came out near instantly. If you want Bitcoin to be successful, the worst thing you can do is make it a hostile community. I am more than keen to listen and address concerns; but many won't. You need to be constructive, or you're just making a shithole that no one wants to waste their time with.

Sorry snowflake.  You are new here, and scams are tolerated (non moderated).  Come up with an idea to promote bitcoin and we will support you.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt.  Let me know when you provide proof your doctors are real, and I can remove the red trust.

I'll add to the issues with your first and second doctors as described above by taking a look at your third and final doctor.

Quote
Minh Nguyen, DO
Anesthesiology, Chiropractic

Medical Training
Doctors Hospital Ohio Health, Residency
Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine, Medical School

License and Memberships
American Board of Anesthesiologists Certified
California State Medical License

A quick search of The American Board of Anesthesiology for "Minh Nguyen" which anyone can perform here - http://directory.theaba.org/default.aspx - yields one result:

Clicking on said image reveals a physician based in Westminster, CA, who was certified in anesthesiology in October 1965:

How strange. The doctor on your website looks in his 40s, but based on his certification date of 55 years ago he must be in his 80s.

Now, let's have a look for "Minh Nguyen" based in Westminster at the Medical Board of California's website, which again, anyone can search here: https://www.mbc.ca.gov/Breeze/License_Verification.aspx. Again, one result:

Again, someone who graduated in 1960, making them in their 80s at the youngest, and long retired.

As Vod has said, please provide some proof your doctors are real.

That's true and I support since this is all about medicine, you should prove that all your doctors can render not only good advice but advice that are accepted within the medical terms and and are reliable, I prefer going to a live doctor that I can see and talk face to face, no problem with my issue, since this profession has laws about a disclosure, it's part of their profession not to disclose their patients history.

This board is absolutely inundated with scam attempts, gate keeping is necessary when the mods don't actively delete scams.

We're not being hostile, we are just skeptical, and want to keep the community here as safe as possible.

When it comes to offering medical consultations, it's only natural that we want strong proof that your medical professionals are qualified to offer these services.

You wouldn't believe how many pretenders and copycat platforms that spring up here on the forum.

I've heard this e-consultation from one of my cousins in the US but generally how does this work? Isn't this less effective compared to patient being consulted physically? How will the doctors know what is the problem when they aren't conducting any kind of test and just be asked by questions? Will that be really enough and will the online doctor's have an accurate finding just by being consulted online? I know this type of consulting is pretty new but I don't see any good gain aside from me staying at home for a video consultation.

Apart from the above concerns, kindly answer the following as well:

A client will purchase a 15 minute block of time with the specialist of their choice,   and using whichever technology you both agree on
According to a part of your FAQ page, that's only the case for repeated visits and not for someone trying it for the first time. Care to explain why you have a 30-minute requirement for "new consults"?

Prices are set by who deploys the contract (doctor or patient). Fees are structured in a amount of bitcoin (BTC) per unit. In which a unit of time equals 15 mins. All new consults must be a minimum of 2 units, and repeat visits can be 1 unit.

The cost, time, and duration of virtual clinic visits will be per-determined while we escrow the payments until satisfactory meeting is complete.
How you will be keeping those funds safe?

Minimal fees will be charged by us for holding the cryptocurrency until visits are complete.
Care to name or list your fee structure?

Scams have been prevalent in this forum and I think it is a safety measure that people are trying scrutinize your website, I do not agree that all posted projects here should be scrutinize to tiniest bit but when it involves some form of payment and especially with your site also involving medical health, this matters are personal please do understand that there will be skeptics.

When it comes to my medical to consult to a doctor who I can see the credentials and how I can trust about my condition, because we all have a disclosure law, and it should be done to a doctor you personally trust and not from someone you just met online, I beleive many share my opinion, this telemedicine website will not hold.
