question about gpg.

Hello,
I know I can export my key through the GU suite, but can someone please breakdown this command for me:

gpg --armor --export KEY_ID | base64 -w0

the w0 dosesn't get executed, what does it mean?

According to this thread on stackoverflow, it disables line wrapping: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46463027/base64-doesnt-have-w-option-in-mac

Afaik wrapping is the number of characters that can fit on a line, but it's been a while...
