While roaming on Indian local board I found a thread regarding independence day and its coming on Aug15 but I still got a question that we are living under democratic country or on dictator country because as per GST taxes the prices of many daily needs high up and with the inflation its peaking year by year and is very bad thing for the middle class and lower class.

When Indian government wants GST they excluded only fuels from it because taxes on petrol and diesel is nearly about 150% in India by this the fuel prices are most expensive in India.

Tax rates can be found here : https://cleartax.in/s/gst-rates

And what do you think about 28% tax and the fuel tax not coming under GST when every other thing inclued on it.

*I am not much knowledgeable in these things but I found India is having high tax rates on GST compared to other countries.
