[Need HELP] How to install new font ttf to Windows 10 v.1809 ?

I just upgraded my OS to Windows 10 version 1809. Until this stage I tried installing the *.ttf font and it always failed with the following notification,
"The requested file G:\document\OpenSans.ttf is not a valid font file". Likewise with other fonts, even though they were fine with my previous OS (Win7).

I've searched for a solution on the internet and haven't got it, does someone would like to help me solve this?
