Is it just

www.binance.com

I heard of fake phishing binance site but just want to make sure.  Because when you google binance, is there a reason the official site doesn't show up etc?

You got it right, sometimes people create fake phishing sites with close Urls (the i might be and l, as an example). But binance.com is correct

The site without any special characters it the official one. Sometimes there are strange variations of a, e or i with two dots, a dot below etc. Hence, you should really be careful, when you click an external link. Even though the optics resemble the official site, it can be a fake phising site. You should rather type it yourself or bookmark the official site to be sure.
Furthermore, I am not sure, why the google search does not give you the official site at the top. It might be against their terms of service, not sure.

https://www.binance.com/ - with 2 sub domains (https://us.binance.com/ and https://kr.binance.com/) are the only official ones.

Regard anything else as a scam attempt. If a character seems strange -> phishing site.
Make sure to bookmark the site and don't click on links to exchanges. And always use https.

That is the correct site but some people are trying to mimick the site as a way to cart away people's fund. Just always check and double check this before you transact with the site.

always use a bookmark! This site can be found on https://coinmarketcap.com/
there are too many phishing sites. Not just Binance. Scammers change 1 character that the user does not notice

I just typed in

www.binance.com in chrome.

The site shows

A lock icon on the left ... binance.com/en/login

On the Site it reads

Please check that you are visiting   https://www.binance.com

in green color and the lock  https://  www.binance.com       the binance.com part is in bold

Can someone here confirm this is the correct site?  Why does it not show the https:// that is green along with the green lock sign on the left in the address bar?

Also on the top right, you can click on old website.

Can people here confirm this is all correct before i log in with my information?  I haven't visited binance in a while so not sure why there is no https:// on the address bar.  There is a lock sign on the left of it though.

If you use an insecure OS such as Windows, malware can in fact intercept legit urls and redirect people into phishing sites, so don't think that just because you type it in the browser, or launch it from a bookmark, is necessarily the real one.

Well malware can do something as simple as editing your hosts file to more sophisticated things.

That is correct one. Even if you try to visit http version of binance, it will automatically redirect you to https one (Good on you, Binance!).

Green padlock means, your connection is secure (ie. Https).

However, don't always trust on 'https', sometimes scammers/phishers use https even on their phishing site.

Hi there.  But why does my address bar on my chrome show

lock logo and then  binance.com/en/login

The lock is not green on the address bar and why is there no https://www.binance.com  on the address bar on the top?

It does show the green lock and https://www.binance.com though on the middle of the page.  The lock and https:// is green and the binance is just regular...

The lock is not green on the address bar and why is there no https://www.binance.com  on the address bar on the top?

it is because you are using the latest version of Google Chrome and they (for some reason) thought it is a good idea to make these recent changes:
- the beginning of the addresses are trimmed which means you don't see the "http" or "https" unless you click in the address bar
- the lock icon no longer has any color and you have to click it to see the additional information and to see the certificate you have to select it.

bitcointalk for example:

Always check the complete address with the SSL certificate.

Binance - https://binance.com

Binance Dex - https://binance.org

It is also a good idea if you can add an extension to your web browser that keeps you safe from phishing websites. I use Netcraft. It is can be added to both chrome and brave browser. I also prefer the brave browser more than chrome to safeguard my browsing experience.

yeah, that is fine the browser will automatically recognize the ssl part and adds the https to the beginning. it is also a good idea to bookmark the site so that you can just click the bookmark.
you could also always switch to another browser like Firefox.

Always be very careful regard site link even on here cos many out thre are just naught , I always wonder what could be the reason for they using their precious time on what could even damage their time in life than investing in human capacity for the growth of all anfmakes a better name for themselves and the family at large .

U can always cross check through their official handles on twitter, telegram and majorly the Cz himself for better and good links and make sure you join their announcement group as many are out there now posting scam link as US site for binance which has not be officially announce.

I am not sure how Binance processes withdraws but most sites require a new 2FA code for a withdraw than a login.

So if in the future you are ever asked for a 2FA code twice, its most likely a phishing websites.

Most sites do this so if you hit a phishing site then the hacker will be able to login, but won't be able to withdraw because he won't have the second 2FA code. Bitfinex is actually one of them that does this and they even don't accept the current, next up, only the 2FA code which is 2 counts after the original login 2FA. I always found this weird, however now I understand why its done; for security.
