If BTC is sent to an ETH address, what will happen to the BTC? Will the BTC reach the address and wallet? Or definitely lost?

If lost, how to retrieve the BTC?

It will not disappear, because the BTC wallet format will not respond if you enter the ETH wallet address. When you enter the ETH wallet address and you send it will say 'Your wallet address is wrong'.
Unless you send BTC to the BTC address, but there are one or two numbers that are wrong on the BTC address, then BTC will be sent, and it will be lost, then it cannot be returned to the base wallet.
So don't think about sending BTC to ETH address, then BTC will change to ETH, or vice versa. Sending a token (erc20) to an ETH address will also not change to ETH. They have their own code.
But if you send an ERC20 token to any ETH address, the transaction process is successful. But it cannot be returned, because the ETH address does not have a key.
it can be identified through seeing how many characters of the address but when OP is still using an old version of the wallet and that will not available and that's why we are talking about the possibility of that case here. A coin sent to the different blockchain will totally disappear or got burned.
I think if we use an online wallet, the wallet version will automatically change (update). If the OP uses an offline wallet, chances are the coin will be lost. But most wallets will be updated. But I don't understand about hardware wallets. Will it be the same as software. Because I have never used a hardware wallet.

I don't think online wallet can easily renew BTC to ETH either, because it is agreed that we understand that they have different blocks, even though the ETH and BTC system is almost the same. but in my opinion it's still very unlikely, can you provide us with an online wallet reference that can update BTC to ETH?

It is technically not possible to send BTC to an ETH address, you will get an error and a warning from your wallet service, most likely. But if the BTC is sent it is lost surely, you cant retrieve BTC or any similar decentralized cryptocurrency after sending your coins. So be careful and check twice the address you are going to send the payment to.

The update in quotes isn't changed so that it can send BTC to the ETH wallet, but the wallet script is changing. When talking with HTML code, starting with HTML V 2.0 code, many now use HTML V 5.  If you talk about wallet issues, for example, the imToken wallet from version 1.0, has changed to Version 2.0. Which of course this can not be run on an offline wallet.

Indeed, this transaction wont be succeeded, they have different form of address and its impossible to send btc to eth address, the transaction will only reverese or wont send and an error prompt will show that sending funds from eth address is not valid or wallet does not exist. I tried it before for some mistake and luckily its impossible to send funds.

I tried it also in our local exchange, sending btc to eth address and this is the error that I get. "Please input a valid email, phone #, name or BTC address
".

But I am not that sure with other wallet whether the transaction will push through or not because if it will push through then your money will surely be lost and cannot be recovered anymore. It is considered as burn, so it's better that you should triple check everything to avoid this kind of mistake to happen.

You will never be able to send Bitcoins to an Ethereum address. All normal wallets and services are protected from this kind of error. However, you may mistakenly send ERC20 tokens to a different not meant for them ERC20 address. In this case, the tokens may be lost forever. That is, you need to be careful when you use different tokens of the same platform.

I agree with you! The two systems have different formats, if you transfer BTC to an atcoin wallet address in the same format as Bitcoin, I think you will definitely lose, so when send in large volumes, you should try with the possible loss. Good luck!

Any bitcoin transaction that was sent to ETH wallet will not be completed, they have different blocks which separate both of them, for this reason even if you mistakenly send a bitcoin to eth wallet, nothing will be charged to your wallet and the same will happen if you send eth to btc wallet.

You can't, you can't send BTC to Eth, because it will invalid the address when you enter it. other than that, if BTC were successfully sent to the ETH address, it would not appear. and will not be returned. because the nature of the blockchain is a one-time transaction (one-way sending)

Impossible, no matter which wallet you are sending the btc from you will get a sending error even before you sent it out, the wallet will recognise the address as invalid, why would you even want to try this out anyway? sounds kinda funny to me

It’s been clearly answered you cannot send Btc to an Eth address. It’s weird because we easily recognized if the address is btc or eth. You will know what address starts for eth and btc, definitely there’s an error on your transactions.

You can't sent any coins to different blockchain. Theoretically its impossible. Bitcoin has own blockchain and Ethereum has own blockchain. So its impossible to send bitcoin to the Ethereum address. It should be detected by your wallet as said above but many users. Transaction won't complete if even any wallet broadcasts any transaction to the blockchain incase failed to detect. So you don't need worry about retrieve since transaction will never happen. If you have any such as case then share with us.

That will not happen to people who know where the BTC wallet and the ETH wallet are, certainly distinguish it, if sent to the ETH address it will fail btc will not be sent, so for me this is a joke asking this,

Not to an eth address. The addresses look completely different and work differently too. They not even the same length I don't think. But it is good you ask so you do not lose any tokens. I must tell you that you can still make this error with other currencies. Bitcoincash you bitcoin use the same address. So you can make a mess like that. Always make sure you double or triple check the address you are sending to. Don't just copy and paste it and expect it to always be right. You could make a mistake so manually check it.
